Chemicals shipping & logistics in Dubai

For chemical traders importing and exporting industrial chemicals and related products.

Moving chemicals through Dubai

Chemicals range from harmless to highly regulated. Whether a product is classed as dangerous goods decides which carriers will take it, how it must be packed and labelled, and what it costs to ship.

We start with the safety data sheet. From there we confirm classification, packaging and carrier acceptance before booking, so your cargo is not rejected at the terminal.

Common challenges

  • Dangerous goods must be classified, packed and labelled correctly
  • Not every carrier or vessel accepts every DG class
  • Some chemicals need import permits or approvals at destination
  • Non-hazardous products may still need a non-DG declaration

How we handle it

How we support Chemical Traders

  • SDS review first

We read the safety data sheet to confirm UN number, class and packing group before quoting.

  • Carrier acceptance

DG bookings checked with carriers for acceptance on the route and vessel.

  • Declarations and labels

Dangerous goods declarations prepared and packaging and labelling requirements shared with your supplier.

  • Permits coordination

Where a chemical is controlled, we coordinate the permit needed before shipment or release.

Equipment and documents

EQUIPMENT

Containers & transport options

  • 20′ / 40′ dry containers for packaged chemicals
  • IBCs and drums on pallets
  • ISO tanks via partner providers
  • LCL for non-hazardous products (DG LCL is limited)

  5. Certificate of analysis where buyers require it
  6. Import permit for controlled chemicals

Chemicals shipping FAQs

Have a question about your cargo?

Ask on WhatsApp

How do I know if my chemical is dangerous goods?

Check section 14 (transport information) of the safety data sheet. If it lists a UN number, class and packing group, the product is regulated as dangerous goods for transport. Send us the SDS and we will confirm.

Can dangerous goods be shipped as LCL?

Some DG cargo can move as LCL, but options are limited because many consolidators and carriers restrict DG in shared containers. FCL is often more practical.

Do non-hazardous chemicals need special documents?

Carriers often ask for a non-DG declaration and the SDS to confirm the product is not regulated. Having these ready avoids delays at booking.
